What Our Graduates Say

Shane

Shane Rodger – Project Engineer

As I have grown and developed I have taken on more senior responsibilities and am able to influence a project from a much higher level. Being involved in so many aspects of project delivery means the learning never stops and there is always something new and interesting to sink my teeth into. When working on site, the people I work with become sort of a second family. The culture on site is friendly, humorous and supportive and you make great friends wherever you go. From an Engineer’s point of view I love having the opportunity to work on large-scale plant, equipment and infrastructure.

Grace

Grace De Thierry – Project Engineer

After starting as an Undergraduate Engineer I moved onto the Graduate Program. I am currently a Project Engineer on the Ichthys Project. A lot of responsibility is given to Engineers on site, which has been the biggest challenge, but also the most rewarding. Life on site is very different from working in the head office. I like learning first-hand and gaining practical knowledge that you wouldn’t be able to get being office based.

Kyron

Kyron Hales – Project Engineer

I started as an Undergraduate Engineer on the Vacation Work Program. The workload can get very challenging at times in the construction game and it can change rapidly and dramatically. The best thing about working for Monadelphous is the people that you work with. I have the support of the senior staff and trade workers with everything I do. People on site are happy to tell you the right way to do things if you show interest, all you have to do is ask. I am enjoying my learning in the contractual and commercial side of projects as well as looking at innovation in construction.

Claire

Claire Grahovac – Graduate Accountant

I commenced as a Graduate Accountant in the Corporate division but I now work in the Maintenance and Industrial Services division. The opportunities I have been given are endless, gaining experience in a variety of areas. When moving between departments it can feel like starting a new job again but I’ve been supported by my colleagues, the HR Team and each Manager that I have worked with even when they’re no longer my Manager.
