We manage the worldwide transport, logistics and distribution for our customers, getting their products from a point of origin into the hands of their consumers. We handle everything from perishable food and flowers to heavy duty machinery, wine – even designer cycling gear!

 

Future Leaders Programme

We are not your average programme, we believe in giving everyone a practical and hands-on learning experience in order to really understand the company from the floor up. This is a real job where your contribution and team effort can make a real difference. Your first 9-14months will be working on the floor. It allow you to experience the Mainfreight culture, understand the inner workings of the company, be a part of a team, and a vital cog in the Mainfreight blue machine.

Learning the company from the floor, that means literally starting in the depot of the warehouse and handling freight. We are not bound by rigid rotations; we don’t hold your hand but give support and guidance to where you want to head. There is a lot of freedom and flexibility to carve out your own career path with the support from mentors, branch managers and other team members!

With the world’s trading marketplace becoming more and more global, demand for Mainfreight’s services has never been higher. We’re opening up in new cities and new countries around the world, every few months.

After spending your time learning the business and team, there are endless management opportunities here at Mainfreight in all forms. You have the opportunity to be a manager as a team leader of an account and work directly with our customers. You can manage and organise shipments across the sea and air. There is constant movement of freight around our country allowing for the constant and fast-paced coordination with our drivers.
